Development Team
On behalf of our customer from Switzerland, Mobilunity is looking for Data Engineer. This is a long-term project. Distributed teams. Project: marketing explorer system. The customer is very team-oriented and easy-going in communication. We are looking for a self-motivated team player who will be comfortable to work in a small, intense and high-growth start-up environment.
Responsibilities:
- Working closely with DevOps on maintenance and tuning and with Data Scientists to create new app functionality.
- Write data pipelines to extract, transform and load (ETL) data.
- Building of a reliable and scalable data infrastructure.
Position requirements:
- 2 + year of experience as a data engineer.
- Thorough understanding of Python and its core principles.
- Experience with big data technologies (MapReduce, Pig, Hive, Hadoop streaming, Spark).
Knowledge of relational data stores (PostgreSQL, Redshift) - Knowledge of NoSQL data stores ( Couchbase, MongoDB)
- Basic knowledge in DevOps.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- English on upper intermediate level or higher
Would be a plus:
- Proficiency in one of programming language (Java, Scala).
- Strong SQL skills
- Knowledge of AWS infrastructure
- Experience in data models and data warehouses designing.
- Ability to identify and resolve performance issues.
