On behalf of our client from the US, Mobilunity is looking for a Magento Front-end Developer.

 

Our Customer is a full-service, global eCommerce agency based in the New York Hudson Valley. With offices in New York, London, and Tirana, they are an international team of eager and driven eCommerce experts.

A newcomer, front end developer, will work closely with design, development, and project management teams to bring UI design concepts, wireframes, and mock-ups to life. You’ll use your creative and meticulous eye for detail and expert-level skills in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, XML, and Javascript every day. Experience with Magento 2 is a must; experience with other ecommerce technologies (like Shopify or BigCommerce) is a major bonus as well as frontend Frameworks (React or Vue).

 

Requirements:

Our Client is flexible with some of the requirements, so if you are a candidate who has a majority match but not a 100% match, that’s ok

• Expert-level understanding of JavaScript, HTM5L, CSS3, XML, cross-browser support & mobile/responsive development
• An understanding of UI/UX principles and SEO/SEM best practices
• An understanding of eCommerce processes, technologies, & best practices
• A solid grasp of debugging techniques, browser rendering behaviour, & performance
• Produce clean, well-documented, efficient, & standards-compliant code, with an eye towards performance optimisation
• Confident level of English (both spoken&written)
• Experience with:
  ○ Magento 2 front end development
  ○ CSS frameworks & pre-processors (like SASS & LESS)
  ○ Javascript MV Frameworks (like Backbone, AngularJS, Ember, React, etc.)
  ○ Cloud computing technologies like AWS (preferred), Azure, Google, etc.
• Familiarity with:
  ○ Templating frameworks like Knockout.js
  ○ Module loaders like Require.js
  ○ Build tools like Grunt and Gulp.js
  ○ Asynchronous control flow, partial page updates, AJAX
  ○ Modern frameworks such as ReactJS, NextJS, NodeJS or VueJS

Nice-to-have:

• Knowledge of PWA and headless frontend approaches
• Magento certification
• Other common CMS and frameworks (like Shopify, BigCommerce, WordPress, etc.)
• Industry-standard design tools (Photoshop, Illustrator)

Key Tasks:

• Produce high quality front end solutions, on time and within clients’ preferences
• Deliver front end development that effectively meets business requirements
• Work collaboratively with design, development, management, & QA teams
• Troubleshoot front end issues & provide rapid solutions
• Follow best practices and coding standards
• Communicate progress, timelines, & deliverables
• Participate in daily stand-ups with the production team
• Contribute to improvements to development processes & lifecycle
