QA Automation Engineer (Embedded devices) (closed)

On behalf of our customer from Switzerland – an IoT company that offers industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) solutions to enterprises to connect offline products to the online world we are looking for QA Automation Engineer (Embedded devices) to join our established team of dedicated developers in embedded, cloud backend and frontend areas. Currently the team is working on 5 projects, however the core is the same for all of them. The projects are closely related to cutting-edge technologies – for example, the team is actively using Microsoft Azure for the development.

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

 

• Web app testing (manual and automated)
• Embedded systems testing, including building of images and programming of devices (manual and automated)
• Issues localization (frontend, backend, embedded, hardware level)
• Integration of automated testing into CI process
• Processing and addressing issues reported by end users
• Requirements testing
• Test documentation maintaining (writing and updating test cases)

TO JOIN, YOU NEED TO HAVE:

 

• 2+ years of work experience in software testing, at least 1 year in test automation
• Experience with test automation using Python
• Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines
• Be interested or opened for learning about embedded systems
• Upper-intermediate or higher level of English (spoken and written)
• Excellent defect reporting skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent knowledge in software testing
• User experience with Linux, including usage of bash and basic administration
• Attention to detail

WOULD BE A PLUS:

 

• Microsoft Azure
• Work experience in IoT industry
• Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling or similar)
