On behalf of our Client from Germany, Mobilunity is looking for a Backend Developer (PHP).

Our Client is a company that produces and broadcasts content related to equestrian sports. With rights to broadcast the most significant equestrian sporting events all over Europe and in the USA, they are the industry’s largest content provider company for fans of equestrian sports.

With over 2,500 events streamed annually, ensuring the customers find the right content is crucial for enhancing their experience on the client’s platform. Your work will directly influence over 65% of all customer sessions, driving significant impact on user satisfaction and engagement. What makes you a fit:

  • Professional Experience: Demonstrated experience in internal search engine optimization, particularly in enhancing and scaling the discoverability for broad and non-specific search queries
  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in PHP & Symfony, ElasticSearch/OpenSearch, recommendations and search personalization
  • Communication Skills: Proficient in English (speaking, reading, and writing)

What makes you shine:

  • Automated testing experience
  • Usage and modeling of REST APIs
  • Relational database data modeling and usage (preferably MySQL)
  • Object-Oriented design and architecture (e.g., SOLID Principles, Object Calisthenics, etc.)
  • Experience using Git
  • Experience in remote work or within content and/or broadcast companies
  • Knowledge or certifications in AWS
  • Experience in building microservices or serverless applications
  • Knowledge in other languages such as Golang
  • Experience in building cloud-native applications
