On behalf of our Client, a well-established financial institution from the Caribbean region Mobilunity is looking for an IT Business Analyst.

Our Client is the largest bank in the Caribbean region that serves 14 countries/territories. The aim is to make this organization from a traditional bank into a new era of fintech, working on the edge of what current fintech may offer.

The IT Business Analyst (BA) plays a critical role in aligning technical solutions with business needs. This role is responsible for gathering, analyzing, documenting, and validating business requirements and translating them into clear, actionable inputs for engineering and product teams. The IT Business Analyst works closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure clear communication, shared understanding, and successful delivery of business-driven IT solutions.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and define detailed business requirements through workshops, interviews, and meetings.
Analyze and refine requirements to ensure feasibility, clarity, and alignment with business priorities.
Prioritize requirements based on business value and complexity.
Produce clear and concise requirement documentation using established tools and templates.
Document current-state and future-state business processes.
Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure mutual understanding and alignment.
Translate business requirements into actionable tasks for engineering teams and support them by providing clarifications and answering questions.
Collaborate with QA teams to ensure delivered solutions meet documented requirements.
Monitor project progress to ensure requirements are delivered as expected.
Communicate requirement changes and project updates to relevant stakeholders.
Collect feedback on delivered features and incorporate insights into future requirements.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in business processes.

Requirements:

Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency with tools such as Jira and Confluence.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
Knowledge of technologies or platforms relevant to the team.
Experience in the banking or financial sector.
5+ years of experience working as an IT Business Analyst.
Professional certification such as CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) or PMI-PBA (PMI Professional in Business Analysis).
