Senior Product Designer

Development Team

On behalf of our Client, a well-established financial institution from the Caribbean region, Mobilunity is looking for a Senior Product Designer for a long-term engagement.

Our Client is the largest bank in the Caribbean region that serves 14 countries/territories. The aim is to make this organization from a traditional bank into a new era of fintech, working on the edge of what current fintech may offer.

As a Senior Product Designer, you will take full ownership of a product and drive the end-to-end design process — from problem discovery and stakeholder alignment to delivery and iteration.

You will work in a fully remote, globally distributed team, collaborating closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and Business stakeholders across different time zones.

This role requires a high level of autonomy, strong product thinking, and the ability to operate in ambiguity. You will proactively shape requirements, facilitate discussions, and ensure design consistency across the product ecosystem.

Responsibilities:

Own the entire design lifecycle of a product: discovery, ideation, validation, delivery, and iteration.
Work with limited or high-level requirements, proactively clarifying problems and defining scope.
Brief, challenge, and align stakeholders by translating business goals into clear design problems.
Design intuitive, scalable, and accessible user experiences for web and mobile platforms.
Create and maintain user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.
Ensure design quality and consistency with the Design System and Design Foundations.
Collaborate closely with Product Managers and Engineers to ensure feasibility and high-quality implementation.
Act as a design owner and advocate in cross-functional discussions and decision-making.
Conduct usability testing, analyze insights, and iterate based on user and business feedback.
Identify UX gaps and opportunities beyond assigned tasks and proactively propose improvements.

Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree in Design, Computer Science, or a relevant field.
5+ years of experience as a Product Designer / UX Designer / UI Designer in digital products.
Proven experience owning design for a product or major feature from concept to launch.
Strong portfolio demonstrating product thinking, problem-solving, and real-world impact.
Advanced proficiency in Figma (components, auto-layout, design systems).
Experience working with Design Systems and Design Foundations at scale.
Ability to work effectively in remote, distributed teams.
English proficiency at C-level (written and spoken).
Strong communication skills — able to explain design decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Comfortable working in ambiguous environments with minimal guidance.
Experience in product discovery: research, workshops, problem framing.
Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG).

Preffered Skills:

Understanding of technical constraints and handoff best practices.
Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS; JavaScript is a plus.
Experience facilitating workshops or stakeholder alignment sessions.
