Camptocamp is a European provider of software implementation of Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Business Management (ERP), and IT infrastructure management. We are proud to be a dedicated development team provider for Camptocamp for many years. 

Our client’s head office is located in Switzerland, in Lausanne and Olten, and they also have offices in France and Germany. Camptocamp provides a variety of services that include consulting, implementation, training, maintenance, support, and R&D.

Camptocamp is the first Odoo Gold partner worldwide since 2006. 

With an international presence and a solid network of partners worldwide, Camptocamp is the privileged partner to carry out their clients’ international projects. Their clients range from start-ups or local SMEs to large international groups from different countries.

Team on the Project

The fruitful collaboration between Camptocamp and Mobilunity started in early 2017 and keeps evolving from year to year. 

It’s typical for Mobilunity to travel to clients’ locations; Camptocamp has annual Staff Meeting where they invite UA team as well to participate and enjoy time with co-workers.

Ukrainian developers are involved in multiple Camptocamp projects and the Mobilunity development team speaks of the client as a result-oriented and well-established company with open communication and a friendly atmosphere. 

Camptocamp has also allocated money for R&D, where our devs have the opportunity to try new technologies for the internal project.

Working Process

The working process is organized and built according to the Scrum methodology. There are small Scrum Teams, divided according to the Camptocamp projects, where Ukrainian engineers are engaged.

Each sprint starts with planning, includes retrospectives, and a demo with a client that comes at the end of a sprint. The Ukrainian team has meetings with Camptocamp that take place daily via Google Meets. They also stay in touch in Slack, where they discuss occurring issues.

Technical Stack on the Project

  • Front-End: Angular, Cesium, JavaScript, Vue.js, LitElement, RxJS, TypeScript.
  • Back-End: Postgres, Python, Docker, Odoo.

At the very beginning, everything seemed complicated and obscure. It happens if you have no experience in a similar niche, due to its specifics (coordinate systems, positioning of objects on the map, etc.), but over time it becomes exciting and even kind of addictive. The company doesn’t work with only one specific tech stack and always tries something new or/and improves old systems. The majority of projects are open-source, and it creates a possibility for your code to help people build their own projects. I’m glad to work with people in Camptocamp, they are friendly and easy-going!
