Data Analyst (Crystal Reports Specialist)

On behalf of our Client, a well-established financial institution from the Caribbean region Mobilunity is looking for a Data Analyst (Crystal Report Specialist) for a long-term engagement.

Our Client is the largest bank in the Caribbean region that serves 14 countries/territories. The aim is to make this organization from a traditional bank into a new era of fintech, working on the edge of what current fintech may offer.

Responsibilities: 

• Develop new Crystal Reports based on a prioritized backlog of business requests. Translate business requirements into well-structured, user-friendly reports using appropriate formatting, calculations, and data visualizations.
• Collaborate with business analysts, stakeholders, and end-users to gather requirements, validate report logic, and ensure deliverables meet business objectives and compliance standards.
• Analyze and validate data sources (e.g., SQL databases, stored procedures, views) to ensure accuracy, completeness, and relevance in the reports being developed.
• Optimize report performance by refining queries, minimizing processing time, and applying best practices for report efficiency and scalability.
• Maintain and enhance existing Crystal Reports to support evolving business needs, including modification of filters, formulas, groupings, and data elements.
• Participate in peer reviews and quality assurance activities to ensure consistency, accuracy, and adherence to organizational reporting standards.
• Provide documentation for each report developed, including purpose, data sources, filters, formulas, and usage instructions, to support ongoing maintenance and knowledge sharing.
• Support user acceptance testing (UAT) by resolving issues, incorporating feedback, and ensuring timely delivery of finalized reports.

Requirements: 

• Proven experience developing Crystal Reports in a business environment.
• Proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical report designs.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience working in a structured request or ticket-based development workflow.
• Level of English – Upper-Intermediate and higher.

Nice to have: 

• Experience working with ERP, CRM, or finance-related reporting systems.
• Familiarity with version control or report lifecycle management practices.
• Exposure to related reporting tools (e.g., SSRS, Power BI) is a plus.
