On behalf of our Client from Japan, Mobilunity is looking for a Project Manager .

About project:
Our client is a fast-growing fintech company based in Tokyo. The company offers its real-time monthly consolidated credit service all across Japan. Our client started Japan’s first instant post-pay credit service for e-commerce customers in October 2014. The main product is an online payment platform which requires no pre-registration or credit card to use; via this service the customers can purchase products online using only a mobile phone number and email address and settle a single monthly bill for all their purchases, either at a convenience store, by bank transfer or auto debit. Customers can use credit funds during a month and then return the balance to zero without paying credit interests.

This service also supports multi-pay installments and subscriptions. There are currently over 4 million accounts in use. This service got the largest investment to date in the Japanese financial tech industry, including PayPal Ventures investment.

We are searching for someone who is excited about a PMO role and confident in their ability to help support the very best business domain teams and processes in a diverse and exciting environment.

Schedule: 9:00 am JST ~ 6:00 pm JST.

Technical stack on the project:

• Test Scripts and a Software QA testing framework written in Python
• AWS Services (fargate, RDS, lambda) with PostgreSQL DBs
• API/App testing frameworks/tools (selenium, postman, browserstack, etc.)
• Circle CI + terraform provisioning and deployment
• Our clients company’s services written in Scala, Rust, and other languages

Responsibilities:

• Drive cross team development projects, and capture status and share them to stakeholders
• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
• Capture initiative progress in client’s company based on data, and visualize them, manage priority and resource
• Create processes, initiatives and execute them to improve productivity, quality of services with engineering team
• Drive agile implementation in feature development by cross functional teams
• Implement release schedules across multiple departments
• Keep the entire organization in sync and make expected progress as per decided OKRs
• Utilize Agile tools such as Jira to track team progress, productivity, and individual performance

Requirements:

• 3 years+ of experience in project management
• Knowledge of project management processes and methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, and Scrum
• Proficient in using project management software and tools such as JIRA
• Understand agile development method, and SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle)
• Leadership skill and communication skill to drive people
• Understand product management, customer support, marketing, and engineering
• Level of English – Upper-Intermediate and higher

Nice to have:

• Professional certification such as PMP
• Certifications of ScrumMaster
• Experience in developing platforms for internal processes
• Business level Japanese skill in preferred
