QA Engineer

On behalf of our Client from the USA, Mobilunity is looking for a QA Engineer.

This company specializes in developing innovative digital solutions for businesses, focusing on modular e-commerce, web performance optimization, and AI-driven retail technologies. They create flexible, API-first architectures that enhance scalability and user experience. Their expertise includes AI-powered recommendations, conversational commerce, and tailored digital experiences across various industries. With a customer-centric approach, they integrate artificial intelligence to drive efficiency and growth.We They are looking for an experienced QA Engineer to test and support next-generation e-commerce solutions, including high-performance web applications and Progressive Web Apps (PWA).

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including U.S.-based PMs/sales) to align technical work with client expectations.
• Conduct manual and automated testing for e-commerce websites.
• Estimate testing effort and timelines for releases.
• Ensure test coverage for both manual and automated testing.
• Automate regression and functional tests using Selenium and Playwright.
• Identify, document, and prioritize bugs based on severity and impact.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) to prevent recurring issues.
• Define and implement QA best practices across teams.
• Optimize test data management for realistic test scenarios.
• Provide release readiness reports and assess potential risks.
• Ensure traceability from requirements to test cases.
• Collaborate with the support team to identify and address issues based on customer feedback.
• Maintain test documentation in Jira and Confluence.
• Take ownership of product quality, working closely with PMs, developers, and QA teams.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal)
• Ability to collaborate effectively with global teams, explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, and participate in client-facing discussions.
• 5+ years in QA with a focus on manual testing or test automation (they hire on a case-by-case basis).
• Familiarity with both manual and automated testing concepts.
• Hands-on experience with black-box and white-box testing.
• Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Experience with performance and security testing is a plus.
• Ability to write clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Proficiency in Unix command line for basic troubleshooting.
• Understanding of HTTP, API testing, and network requests.
• Knowledge of website performance tuning and optimization

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with analytics tools (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Adobe Dynamic Tag Management, etc.).
• Understanding of performance testing concepts.
