Technical writer

On behalf of our Client, a well-established financial institution from the Caribbean region Mobilunity is looking for a Technical writer. 

Our Client is the largest bank in the Caribbean region that serves 14 countries/territories. The aim is to make this organization from a traditional bank into a new era of fintech, working on the edge of what current fintech may offer.

Technical writer on the Platform Team will play a critical role in developing comprehensive, clear, and user-friendly documentation for our various tooling and technologies, including logging, monitoring, CI/CD, and more. This role is instrumental in ensuring that the technical aspects of the platform are well-understood and accessible to both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Documentation Development:

• Create, maintain, and update technical documentation for the platform’s tools and technologies.
• Work closely with the platform team to understand the functionalities and intricacies of each tool.
• User Guides and Manuals: Develop user guides, manuals, and FAQs that are clear, concise, and user-friendly to facilitate the effective use of platform tools.

Documentation Management:
• Manage documentation versions and ensure that all documentation is up-to-date and accurately reflects the current state of the platform tools.

Collaboration with Platform Team:
• Collaborate closely with engineers, developers, and other team members to gather necessary information and insights for documentation.
• Clarify any ambiguities and ensure a thorough understanding of the subject matter.

Feedback Incorporation:
• Collect feedback on documentation and make continuous improvements to enhance clarity and user experience.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Technical Writer, preferably in a technology or software development environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to understand complex technical concepts and translate them into clear, accessible documentation.
• Familiarity with documentation tools and platforms.
• Level of English – Upper-Intermediate and higher.

Nice to have:

• Experience documenting platform tools such as logging, monitoring, and CI/CD systems.
• Familiarity with the banking or financial sector.
