IT Business Analyst

On behalf of our Client, a well-established financial institution from the Caribbean region Mobilunity is looking for an IT Business Analyst. 

Our Client is the largest bank in the Caribbean region that serves 14 countries/territories. The aim is to make this organization from a traditional bank into a new era of fintech, working on the edge of what current fintech may offer.

We are seeking a Senior IT Business Analyst / Data Analyst to define and deliver requirements for a real-time digital onboarding dashboard. This dashboard will focus on platform and operational metrics (not commercial KPIs), providing real-time visibility into onboarding performance, automation efficiency, and risk areas using tools such as Grafana.

The Senior BA will work closely with Product, Engineering, Data, and Compliance teams to translate complex platform behavior into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and dashboard requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Elicit, analyze, and document requirements for a real-time onboarding metrics dashboard (Grafana)
• Write clear user stories and acceptance criteria for platform and operational analytics
• Define and prioritize key metrics, including:
  • Onboarding completion and drop-off rates (MVP)
  • Time to account opening and activation (MVP)
  • KYC/AML manual review and false-positive rates (MVP)
  • Fraud controls effectiveness and incidents prevented
  • Platform automation—driven cost-to-serve
  • Conversion from applicant to active customer (MVP)
• Collaborate with Data Engineers to align metrics with real-time data sources and events
• Support backlog refinement, prioritization, and sprint planning

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in fintech or banking
• Strong experience defining requirements for dashboards, metrics, or analytics platforms
• Hands-on experience working with Grafana
• Understanding of digital onboarding, KYC/AML, and fraud workflows
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Information Technology, or related field.
• Level of English – Upper-Intermediate and higher.
